| President Obama On Seth Rogen, 'James Flacco' Movie Posted: 20 Dec 2014 03:19 PM PST | President Obama said he loves actors Seth Rogen and James "Flacco," but expressed disbelief that North Korea felt it needed to mount an all-out cyber-attack on Sony over the comedy, "The Interview." At his year-end news conference, the president was asked about the United States' response to the hacking, which the FBI confirmed today was carried out by North Korea. "I think it says something interesting about North Korea that they decided to have the state mount an all-out assault on a movie studio because of a satirical movie starring Seth Rogen and James Flacco," said Obama, appearing to confuse actor James Franco with NFL quarterback Joe Flacco. "I love Seth and I love James, but the notion that that was a threat to them, I think gives you some sense of the kind of regime we're talking about here." He also said he will not disclose right now what actions the U.S. will take in response. "They caused a lot of damage. We will respond proportionally and we will respond in a place and time and manner that we choose," said Obama. Watch the clip above. | Astronaut’s-Eye View of NASA’s Orion Spacecraft Re-entry Posted: 20 Dec 2014 03:19 PM PST | New video recorded during NASA’s Orion return through Earth’s atmosphere provides viewers a taste of what the vehicle endured as it returned through Earth’s atmosphere during its Dec. 5 flight test. The video begins 10 minutes before Orion's 11:29 a.m. EST splashdown in the Pacific Ocean, just as the spacecraft was beginning to experience Earth's atmosphere. Peak heating from the friction caused by the atmosphere rubbing against Orion's heat shield comes less than two minutes later, and the footage shows the plasma created by the interaction change from white to yellow to lavender to magenta as the temperature increases. | Sony Interview scandal: Rogen, Franco and Kim Jong-un set the whole thing up Posted: 20 Dec 2014 03:15 PM PST | Sony Pictures made it official this week to everyone, it has no balls whatsoever. Sony Pictures totally chickened out and decided to pull its release of The Interview next week after hackers threatened to blow up movie theaters and moviegoers. Sony Pictures has officially canned its release plans for the comedy film that stars Seth Rogen and James Franco as they are called upon by the CIA to take out North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, played by Randall Park. Apparently the original film was changed by Sony executives because the original death scene with Kim’s head exploding was too much. The writers had to settle for a watered down death scene with Kim’s exploding head covered mostly by fire. Paranoia has also caused New Regency to shelve a North Korean-based thriller starring Steve Carell (thank you North Korea) and Paramount to pull substitute showings of Team America. So all of a sudden, a movie that probably wasn’t the greatest is now the most talked about film of the year and it’s nothing but North Korea in the news.
